Runnymede Apartments

Runnymede Apartments is my 'Final Year Project' study within my last year of University studying 'Architectural Design and Technology'. The project is a residential apartment building providing 1, 2 and 4 bedroom apartments that also includes a commercial bar/resturant space.

 

The project is located within my home town of Ilfracombe and aims to combat the towns aging and slowly decreasing population. The goal of the project is to provide a more modern solution of living in a heavily Victorian aesthetic area in an attempt to keep/introduce more 20 – 39 year olds to the wonderful town. The introduction of the bar/restaurant in the separated commercial space will not only bring more finance into the town but it will also take advantage of and add to the adjacent Runnymede Gardens and Southern Slopes ajacent to the site.
